Guna Reddy-Kolanu
Consultant ENT Surgeon
Mr Guna Reddy-Kolanu is the Clinical Lead for the ENT department in Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and has been an ENT Consultant since 2016, specialising in general ENT with a specific interest in ear disorders, balance disorders and children ENT. He treats a majority of children and patients with balance problems at his NHS practice at East Surrey and Crawley Hospitals.
To date, he has performed over 1000 tonsillectomies, including more modern intracapsular techniques, over 1000 ear operations, including mastoid surgery, eardrum reconstruction and hearing implantation, over 500 sinus operations and over 10000 operations in his 16 years of experience in ENT.
Mr Reddy-Kolanu's training in ENT was supplemented by further training in complex ear surgery and cochlear implant surgery in children as young as 11 months. He continues to provide support for colleagues in caring for patients requiring ear surgery and is an appraiser of doctors in all areas of practice.

Areas of Interest:
Otology - The study of the ear and its diseases; specialised in the physiology, function and diseases of the ear.
Paediatric - The study of ENT conditions most commonly associated with children, including: hearing loss; ear infections and glue ear; breathing difficulties; recurrent tonsillitis; nose and sinus infections; and complex neck, airway and ear conditions.
Vestibular - The vestibular system includes the parts of the inner ear and brain that process the sensory information involved with controlling balance and eye movements.
